Summertime!
Happy Summer! Finals are over and the weather is warming up! Summers can be exciting, and often bring new, fresh experiences. Whether you're travelling this summer, taking on an internship, or studying in summer classes, you may need a little encouragement or be looking for some comfort during a time of change. So here are some scriptures to get you through all those feelings of excitement, nervousness, and happiness!
For change or new experiences:
Joshua 1
This chapter focuses on Joshua's experiences as God asked him to make some big changes in his own and his family's lives, and he does what God commands without question. Joshua's faith is really encouraging when change is occurring in our lives.
Daniel 2:21
" And he changeth the times and the seasons: he removeth kings and setteth up kings: he giveth wisdom unto the wise, and knowledge to them that know understanding."
Have faith in God's plan, and know that he is in control
Hebrews 13:8
"Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, and today, and forever."
Material things or circumstances may change, but God never will!
When you travel:
Psalm 121
"...The Lord is thy keeper..."
Joshua 1:9
"Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest."
Deuteronomy 31:6
"Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the Lord thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.
While you're enjoying your summer :)
Philippians 4:4
"Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, rejoice."
Psalm 118:24
"This is the day which the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it."
Ephesians 5:20
"Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ;"
Always remember to give thanks!
And for whatever you do this summer:
Colossians 3:17
"And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him."
